The CALEA interface supports two types of call
monitoring: • Call data monitoring, in which the call data information is
sent to the CALEA server and • Call content/data monitoring, in which the
call data information and the speech/media content of the call are sent to
the CALEA server. The call information consisting of calling party number,
called party number, type of calling party number, nature of called party
number and other call information is sent to the CALEA server when either of
the calling or called parties are marked for call data or call content/data
monitoring. In call content/data monitoring the 600E sends call information
and also connects the speech path between the calling or called party to the
CALEA server in an unobtrusive manner.
